YOGA

Yoga is a practical philosophy. It takes you away from your limitations only. Worldly life limits; Yoga teaches you how to expand life. Yoga does not condemn your duties towards family, society, etc. - it only teaches you how to overcome the inordinate attachment towards them. Yoga is experience of the deeper life, it is the discovery of Truth, the unravelling of the mystery of Existence. The Yogic life is not an abnormal escape from reality, but rather - the normal ascension into healthier, broader, purer, truer Reality.

Gurudev boldly and inspiringly combines all Yogas in one - Yoga of Synthesis And it is a fantastic Path!
Action -purified and dedicated to the Lord - is Karma-Yoga.
Emotion - refined and sublimated - is Bhakti-Yoga.
Intelligence - thoroughly developed and transmuted into Universal Wisdom - is Jnana-Yoga.
And withdrawal of the senses and self-restraint - is Raja-Yoga.

Imagine how wonderful it is to simultaneously cultivate your hand, your heart, your intellect and your mystic abilities.

The goal of Yoga is not the application of your powers for personal success - but the Realization of Truth for Truth's sake. Only the traders want to gain in this form or another. True seekers want God only - for His sake only, for the sake of Truth alone.

Yoga starts when we sincerely realize that everything in this world is inferior to the ecstasy which can be achieved through intense spiritual life. The moment we give up anxiety and lower desires, we are supervised by the Invisible and Loving Guidance which protects, supplies and warns us at every step. We then belong to a different land which has its own definite values. Here (this world) becomes a visiting place. We are guests who are well taken care of by the Invisible Host.

Yoga aims at teaching us how to think and how NOT TO THINK. Nay, the ultimate goal of Yoga is to liberates from all the results of thinking. It is not as paradoxical as it might sound - for thought- culture is a science of thinking without creating Karma. A resolute stand should be taken to refuse our human feelings to limit us. To think profoundly, to observe keenly, to feel deeply but not to be personally involved - is the prevention of the exteriorization of our thoughts. We (our personal and selfish thinking) limit ourselves; we (our impersonal thinking) liberate ourselves. Spirituality, only, is the means for Liberation from the endless tricks of our physical and psychic Karmas.

The sublime aspect of Yoga is spiritualization of every thought and act. Bring OM into your breathing, eating, thinking. It will take the form of powerful Mantra. Add Shantih. Say Om Shantih and be at peace!

The first sign of your Spiritual Awareness is not your personal withdrawal from the world - far from it! You are aloof only inwardly. Outwardly you are the servant of one and all. When you sincerely feel like this - you are a Yogi.

A Yogi's attitude is a silent attitude full of true compassion, tolerance and understanding. A Yogi is not he who organizes all kinds of charitable activities - but, rather, he who lives a true, harmonious, silent life

But identifying ourselves with the Soul.
